Angel Olsen is an American singer-songwriter who hails from St. Louis, Missouri who lives in Asheville North Carolina. Olsen's six studio albums include: Big Time, Half Way Home, Burn Your Fire For No Witness, My Woman and My Woman. My mom has the capacity to care for kids. [on the parents who had adopted her at birth as well as adopted her age 3] I'm much more fascinated by their childhood because of our long-standing differences. My fantasies were more focused on being young in the 30s or 1950s than others of that were my age. My personal life. In April 2021, Olsen came out as gay. Olsen announced in 2022 her separation from Adele Thibodeaux and revealed she was with long-time music producer as well as friend Meg Duffy since 2020. Olsen revealed on her social media accounts that she had been gay since the beginning of 2021. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Olsen began performing in the city's coffee shops during her teenage years, eventually branching out and tapping into the community of artists who share similar views. In 2006, she moved to Chicago where she collaborated with the Californian musician Emmett Kel as part of the Cairo Gang. All Mirrors, her previous album, released in 2019, included the dark, gothic sound of synth rock as well as moving forays in orchestral pop. Big Time, the first Olsen album that sings consciously about queer love, is music that is a part of an established tradition of Country. This is a huge change that makes sense.
